Giuseppe Romito

Prof. Giuseppe Romito received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (1992), Masters (1996)
and PhD degrees (2000) in periodontology from Dental School of University of São
Paulo (Brazil).
He is currently the Chair and Head of the Division of Periodontology, Dean of the Undergraduation program – Division of Periodontology, Dean of the Certificate Program in Implant Dentistry and Head of the Department of Stomatology at Dental School of University of São Paulo.
He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Brazilian Oral Research (BOR) – official publication of the IADR Brazilian division, Member of Editorial Board of Oral Diseases (Wiley).
Romito is also former President of both the IADR Brazilian Division and the Brazilian Society of Periodontology; He was a Member of IADR Regional Development Program Committee; He is the President of both the IADR Brazilian Division and the Brazilian Society of Periodontology; He was a Member of IADR Regional Development Program Committee; He is the President of the Latin American Oral Health Association (LAOHA).
Romito has a history of more than 25 years devoted to research in periodontology and his studies has generated numerous scientific papers in high-impact journals. He is Key Opinion Leader (KOL) from Colgate Palmolive Brazil and Geistlich Pharma Brazil. He has a long-lasting scientific partnership two major Medical Schools in Brazil and with researchers from USA and Europe. He has also developed several research projects in collaboration with oral care, implant and dental material companies.
