«Developing and nurturing the skills of young researchers»
Lisa Heitz-Mayfield completed both a Master and a PhD in odontology at Lund University in Sweden. Since then, she has held numerous clinical academic positions. She is currently an Adjunct Professor in the International Research Collaborative, Oral Health and Equity at the University of Western Australia and maintains a specialist periodontal practice in Perth. “I feel very honoured and privileged to be elected to the Board of the Osteology Foundation. To have the opportunity to work together with my esteemed colleagues and contribute to the Osteology Foundation's endeavours is wonderful, and comes at a great time in my personal and working life”, said Heitz about her election. Thinking about her future role within the Osteology Foundation’s Board, she explained: ”My goals for my term of office are to nurture and develop the skills of young researchers and to facilitate the sharing of knowledge generated by these scientists and others. This will serve to link science with practice through global education”.
Please join us in welcoming our new Board members.
