Osteology Research Academy course in Lucerne

The Osteology Research Academy (ORA) was held for the ninth time in Lucerne between the 9-12 September 2019. 30 participants from ten countries gathered at the premises of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts to learn more about Research Design and Methodology and to talk with globally-renowned experts in the field of oral regeneration.

The Osteology Research Academy is a unique format. In Lucerne, the participants had the opportunity to learn from experts such as Niklaus P. Lang, Ronald E. Jung, Reinhard Gruber, Anton Sculean and Frank Schwarz.

Furthermore, a number of workshops were also held alongside the experts’ presentations. At these workshops, participants were able to expand their knowledge of statistics for research projects in oral tissue regeneration or clinical and pre-clinical research protocol development and communication using practical examples.

A highlight of the course was certainly the career seminar held on Wednesday evening by Niklaus P. Lang under the title "Considerations for a scientific career development". He shared his wealth of experience with the participants and they had the opportunity to ask him their questions face-to-face.
