The group of participants was very international. They came from nine different countries: Brazil, Belgium, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, and the United States.
The course consisted of four workshops, also including laboratory practice: histology, histomorphometry, morphometrics, and micro CT, as well as lectures on bone anatomy and bone biology. The application of the histological, mormphometric and micro CT techniques from the workshops was also discussed in detail.
One of the participants, Yong Hur from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, USA, said after the course: "It was a fantastic experience to learn research from the world-leading experts. And also fun to meet junior and mid-career colleagues from many countries with various background. Osteology Research Academy is reall inspirational, motivational!"
