What to Expect from the Lectures 

How can complications in complex bone augmentation procedures be prevented – and what should clinicians do when they occur?

As part of her tour across Asia, Isabella Rocchietta will share her expertise in one of the most challenging areas of implant dentistry: advanced bone augmentation and managing complications in Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR).

Dental implants have become a routine treatment option for partially and fully edentulous patients. However, alveolar defects can compromise prosthetically driven implant positioning, making careful treatment planning essential. With today’s digital tools, clinicians can plan complex procedures in greater detail than ever before and select from a wide range of augmentation techniques.

Guided Bone Regeneration is a reliable treatment approach for many alveolar defects. In her lectures, Isabella Rocchietta will explore the biological principles of GBR and their clinical application, discuss indications for resorbable and non-resorbable PTFE membranes, and share practical tips and techniques for performing vertical GBR in severe defects. Drawing on clinical experience and scientific evidence, she will also address how to anticipate, prevent and manage complications in complex augmentation procedures.
