Dr. Kristina Badalyan graduated from the Yerevan State Medical University, Armenia specialising in Dentistry in 1996. She attended a postgraduate program in endodontic surgery at the Central Institute of Scientific Research in Dentistry, Moscow, Russia where she gained her Ph.D. She continues to work as Associate Professor, Senior Researcher and Dental Surgeon in Central Scientific Research Institute of Dentistry, Moscow and specialises in Periodontology, Implantology and Oral Surgery.

Dr. Badalyan is scientific editor of Quintessence Russia, coordinating the surgical section of the Quintessence Study Club in Russia.
