Balazs Feher

 

Balazs Feher is an Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and holds a concurrent appointment as Senior Lecturer in Oral Surgery at the Medical University of Vienna. His primary research focus is applied data science and artificial intelligence in diagnostic, prognostic, and generative modeling in dental medicine.

Feher contributes to the ITU/WHO/WIPO Global Initiative on Artificial Intelligence for Health and previously served with its predecessor, the ITU/WHO Focus Group on Artificial Intelligence for Health. He also serves as Chair of the European Association for Osseointegration’s Junior Committee.

Feher earned his DMD and PhD from the Medical University of Vienna, where he trained as a postgraduate assistant in oral surgery and later habilitated under Reinhard Gruber and Ulrike Kuchler, earning the venia docendi in dental medicine. He joined Harvard as an Osteology Research Scholar and completed a postdoctoral fellowship under William V. Giannobile and Magda Feres before joining the Faculty of Medicine.
